We’ve stocked the new album from ANSWER CODE REQUEST—a pillar of the German techno scene who released works in the 2010s on his home labels, *OSTGUT TON* and *MARCEL DETTMANN RECORDS*, and later served as a resident at “Berghain”! While working with smoky chords that carry on the tradition of ambient techno, he freely explores the possibilities of diverse rhythmic formats, presenting a fresh perspective on modern techno.

Veteran artist ANSWER CODE REQUEST—who played a leading role in the techno revival of the 2010s and, since signing with the prestigious Dutch techno label *DELSIN* in 2022, has returned to the free-spirited ethos of his early days to pioneer “techno-modernism”—is making a comeback with a full-length album! While incorporating introspective synths and chordal textures rooted in traditional ambient techno, the beats feature dynamic twists. The album experiments with a wide variety of rhythmic formats, primarily 4/4 but also including breakbeats and D&B (including half-time). With “Sublith” offering subtle hints of rave music and acid house, this is an ambitious work that breaks new ground. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
