A new release from rhythm scientist FOREST ON STASYS—whose EP on the Bristol-based modern trance label *SPACE LAB* was also fantastic—has arrived! “Estructuras Monolíticas” (sample 3) is an immersive techno journey that fuses a resilient 4/4 drive with finely chopped percussion rhythms, featuring trippy electronic sounds that come alive as the track progresses. “Reptile Genetics” (sample 2), reminiscent of ’90s progressive techno, uses percussion chimes as a hook to create a tribal atmosphere. But the real standout is the tribal-tech track “Return To The Source” (sample 1), where percussion and synth pads come together in a warm, collaborative session—an immersive, deep dance sound that’s sure to resonate across a wide range of dance floors.
