With mysterious synthesizer sounds and organic machine beats, this New Age-inspired dance masterpiece unfolds a fantastical world over a runtime of more than 17 minutes. From Sydney’s 〈MAD HABITAT〉—the label that’s turned every release in its catalog into a smash hit—comes the new EP from the familiar duo GREVILLE & THE OPEN HEARTS! An organic dance landscape where soothing bongos and fragmented vocals sway and drift.

GREVILLE—who has been delivering minimalist, healing chill dance music based on the concept of gazing at nature through the studio window while running KEN OATH, the label behind hits by LOW FLUNG and others—is taking their chill dance trip to new heights with a collaborative lineup! The extended track “I Don’t Know Where I’m Going But I’m Going” (sample 1), which takes up the entire A-side, features modern ambient artist SANTILLI on percussion. This organic, New Age dance epic slowly unfolds its narrative through trippy, repetitive synth phrases, horns, and laid-back hand percussion. Though not quite as long as the A-side, the B-side track “Luna Forest Kitchen” (sample 2) also runs over 13 minutes, featuring a slightly higher pitch and a light, skipping beat. It blends genres—from classical electronic music to tribal and psychedelic—into a cohesive, daydream-like world. This release is another masterpiece. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
