KIF PRODUCTIONS, the ambient project that made waves with its debut album *Still Out* (which also featured support from JD TWITCH), is back. The theme is the passionflower—a climbing plant known for its unique floral form and its ability to relieve tension when ingested. This project makes extensive use of field recordings—including the somewhat unusual sounds of vocal humming and insect wing beats—to depict the passionflower’s leisurely growth cycle through minimalist arrangements of synthesizers and acoustic instruments, while shaping the song’s progression with melodies and samples.
