(Pre-order) It’s coming out!!!!! Asa Tone’s 2026 release!
A trio featuring Melati ESP and Kaazi, who are based in Bali, along with Tristan Arp—who has released music on the Objekt label, performed at Waking Life, and moved from New York to London, where he’s steadily making his mark.
A dialogue between modular synths, FM sound textures, electronic drums, MIDI wind instruments, and Melati’s ever-shifting vocals. Furthermore, this release features Bali-based percussionist Putu Septa playing the kundan—a double-headed drum used in Balinese gamelan—on two tracks.
A crystallization of a “shared language” that emerges from different lands, experiences, and musical approaches—partly recorded as a one-take live session by the trio in Bali, and partly pieced together bit by bit as they exchanged sounds remotely.

Once you dive in, you’ll see—it’s not overly spiritual, but rather grounded steps and the scent of earth. And with the down-to-earth personalities of the three members constantly shining through, Organic Rain Dance is an incredibly approachable act. Asian minimalist elements like the suikinkutsu and gamelan, along with a sense of infinite humidity, also drift through the music. Only two tracks have been released so far, but it’s already a sure thing. The fact that it’s from Music From Memory is also exciting. Scheduled to arrive in late October.
