A welcome new release from FANTASTIC MAN, the talent behind work for a diverse array of labels including 〈LOVE ON THE ROCKS〉, 〈LET'S PLAY HOUSE〉 and 〈MULE MUSIQ〉 — and it's a strong one. "Total Djreem" (sample1) is a progressive tech epic with comfortably bouncing drums, just the right amount of bottom weight, and carefully layered deep, psychedelic synthscapes, plus a dangerously propulsive bassline. On the flip, Brooklyn's O.BEE turns in a remix: machine funk that conjures a tricky groove out of acid and breaks, a superb arrangement that reveals a whole different side of the original.
