KINKA began his DJ career in 1986. Through his DJ sets and music production, he has shared wonderful music that transcends genres, national borders, and eras—including disco, house, reggae/dub, world music, rare groove, jazz, ambient, techno, and more. Works released under the name Key Of Knowledge on the legendary label 〈Sound Channel〉, as well as works released under the names Acca and KINKA on 〈Rudiments〉—the predecessor to 〈Glocal Records〉—are once again garnering attention both domestically and internationally within the dub “abstract” beat music revival. In 2026, marking the 40th anniversary of the start of his DJ career, he has announced the launch of his own label, 〈ITAL MUSIC〉, and the release of his new album *Re:Vibe*—his first in 15 years—further heightening interest in his work.
As for his mix work, this release, *Mitime tape series 13~Sightseeing~*—his first in nine years—is a “mesmerizing journey of sound” (i.e., sightseeing) crafted from tracks woven from KINKA’s vast and profound musical map, which transcends genres, national borders, and eras.
They have delivered a new, iconic mixtape that lets us experience “Life With Music” in a timeless way.
