A tribute to the “BLACK ROSES CREW,” a dance crew based in Arnett Gardens (commonly known as “The Jungle”) in Kingston that played a pivotal role in 1990s dancehall culture. Built on a foundation of Caribbean music, this track blends elements of bouyon, dancehall, and deneli into a tight, dynamic, and unique rhythm. This collaborative single by GAVSBORG, captain of the avant-garde dancehall collective EQUIKNOXX, and bassist DELROY “PELE FYAH” HAMILTON is now available on cassette. Highly recommended.
Track List

A unique collaboration born from an idea that came to GAVSBORG during his stay in Chennai! This new-school riddim was created around two core themes: their shared love for Caribbean music, and a tribute to Arnett Gardens—the place that has long served as a source of inspiration for their past projects—and the BLACK ROSES CREW, which symbolizes it. It fuses the jumping beats of the Dominican Republic’s bouyon, the rousing high-tempo rhythms of the Eastern Caribbean’s deneli, and dancehall. The bassline contrasts with the minimal, tight, and bouncy beat. It’s a track designed to make you dance, diving straight into the inner groove—it’s the best! Limited edition.
