Trace / Imprint
Rhythm &- Cat No: RS06

A 2001 release under the Rhythm & Sound moniker. Dope sound that pushes their dub-techno sound-system experiments even deeper. Bone-shaking stuff. 2025 repress.
Track List

Rhythm & Sound was launched by BASIC CHANNEL alongside BURIAL MIX, the project where they featured Tikiman in an approach fusing dub, reggae and techno. Starting with "Music A Fe Rule" in 1997 and releasing mixes by the likes of Chosen Brothers/Bullwackie's All Stars along the way, they took a short break after RS05 in 1999 before dropping "Trace / Imprint" in 2001. "Trace" is a stoic cut that unfolds draped in the low end, groove, industrial edge, noise and reverb tails they had established as dub techno. The B-side is a kick-less, slow-burning deep classic.
