A four-piece from Bologna who left behind just one album, 1980's "Confusional Quartet," before being swept up in the swelling wave of Italo (their drummer went on to GANEVADA, familiar from cosmic synth pop). At the time they were hailed as Area meets Devo and mentioned alongside The Residents and New York's DNA, yet their sound stood apart from all of them: a Mediterranean brightness coexisting with the restless, tarantella-influenced rhythms, driven by phenomenal chops that let them break loose and go off the rails. In 2011 the four founding members came back together and resumed activity, mainly live shows, armed with wildly original new material that defies categorization — and now they've even recorded an album, which is a real surprise! There's something genuinely moving about seeing them, older but still relishing cutting-edge expression. A completely un-serious quartet in disarray, and a total blast!
