[Also in stock] A label from Detroit worth watching. A solo outing from NOLEIAN REUSSE of AFRICANS WITH MAINFRAMES. Recommended.
NOLEIAN REUSSE — a talent who has released on Pittsburgh's Love What You Feel (well known for DISCO NIHILIST), forms the unit Africans With Mainframes with JAMAL MOSS, and has won the approval of Chicago house originator ADONIS. Machine house built from analog/vintage gear, with a unique sense of rhythm. There's a real philosophy here, not just gear-nerd indulgence. The twisted rhythmic feel of A2 "Fete" (sample_1) is seriously cool. A1 "Infinitive" is nicely polyrhythmic too.
