Under this particular name he debuted on the UK's AbstractForms and has steadily added to his release list, finally completing an album this year. It opens with a freezing ambient-bass intro that seems to rise straight out of the sleeve image, and while it contains an almost stoic homage to genuine Detroit dark electro and ghetto tech — DREXCIYA, DOPPLEREFFEKT, and DJ STINGRAY, whose quiet maneuvering has stood out this year — it's an all-out double pack that outputs inspiration drawn from the horizon, the waterline, of Friesland on the northern Dutch coast where he was born. Deluxe gatefold sleeve with artwork specially created by ROBERT ZANDVLIET, a brush painter renowned in his home country — the sheer attention to detail comes through!
