Following NAFFI SANDWICH's "D'ya Hear Me," which focused on Brenda Ray, comes a compilation spotlighting Brenda's partner and "the other Naffi," Freddie Viaduct! In a shabby town in northwest England, using boomboxes, double-speed 4-track recorders, PA amps with built-in reverb and other LO-FI gear, they built an utterly unique dub sound out of improvised playing and pure inspiration! Astonishing sounds that were only ever released on cassette and 7-inch. Like DANIEL JOHNSTON, DUMP, and the contemporary music crowd, anyone obsessed with the cassette tape format is clearly operating on a different wavelength.
