A handshake release between Leeds' buzzing newcomer 〈JOE'S BAKERY〉 and the veteran 〈MOTON〉!
JOE'S BAKERY is the late-blooming newcomer duo CHRISTON & GILL, who debuted on France's 〈MACADAM MOMBO〉 under the name JOE'S BAKERY BAND. Back home in Leeds they've opened their own spot, "OUTRAW YACHT CLUB" — a nicely laid-back, grown-up hangout that has hosted the likes of BILL BREWSTER, GREG WILSON and NIGHTMARE ON WAX, and is drawing quite a crowd. Incredibly, it includes a re-edit (sample1) of "Tiger Of The Night," the first single by indie funk unit BABYMAN — featuring EROBIQUE of DJ KOZE's trio INTERNATIONAL PONY, and also known for their cover of Black Sabbath's "Iron Man"! Plus the obscure Balearic disco-fusion cut "Aerobic" (sample2), where Italian gut-string guitar and flamenco bulería clatter and mingle with electronics — four tracks in all!
