Maniac Detroit electro from 1982! Repressed!!
Peoples Potential Unlimited's most anticipated release to date. Originally recorded in Detroit, 1982 by the late Danan Potts a.k.a. Superlife. At that time Danan was hanging around the Recording Institute of Detroit where Juan Atkins was training in production. Danan was interested in Atkin's style of dance music and quickly recorded "Go Bananas". Bananas was released locally on Southern Sun Records in hyper limited quantity, it is today one of the most sought after underground detroit techno recordings of all time.
Another stunner from PEOPLES POTENTIAL UNLIMITED, who keep unearthing incredible 80s boogie funk/synth disco! An obscure electro record originally pressed in an edition of just 200 copies on the Detroit local label SOUTHERN SUN RECORDS. Same year as CYBOTRON's "Cosmic Cars" in '82. The computerized raps, effects work, drum machines and synth work are downright divine. Another wonder was being born in Detroit! Can this really be true?! (Original Japanese text by Saito)
