The highly recommended track “Galegos” (sample 1)—featuring African-style chanted vocals over a track with a soaring atmosphere, while a chatty synth solo races freely back and forth—makes quite an impact! The GOLD FINGERS side also features short, interlude-like field recordings, including steel pan in a bustling crowd and the traditional Balinese Kecak dance. “The Ritual (original)” by DAN MELA—whose work with MARCELLO NAPOLETANO in I.B.M. and tracks released under the ROBERT CRASH moniker via 〈DOG IN THE NIGHT〉 have earned him a solid reputation— (sample2), as well as a raw, scientific, and dope electro remix titled “The Ritual (Anton Zap Rmx)” (sample3) by Russian genius producer Anton Zap—the man who brought the legendary 〈Ethereal Sound〉 label to a close. Don’t miss it!
