A cover of Gal Costa's classic song, performed by Caetano. The A-side, produced by Arthur Verocai.
The vocal group TRIO TERNURA, which has also served as the backing group for Sergio Mendes and Tim Maia. The A-side features a cover of the classic song “Baby”—originally co-written and performed by Gal Costa and Caetano Veloso on her solo debut album following “Domingo”—performed by a quintet that includes Léo & Zé Roberto, and produced and arranged by Arthur Verocai. It’s groovy Brazilian soft rock/MPB reminiscent of bands like THE FIFTH DIMENSION. The B-side is also a samba rock track—an original with fantastic handclap breaks—from a hard-to-find 1974 7-inch single and a highly popular track. The perfection of the stereophonic mixing speaks to the high standard of Brazilian music at the time.
