The Cynical Store, who we recently shared a bill with at their release party in Osaka, are a much-talked-about Sapporo band whose members work keyboards, samplers and more into their playing alongside their main instruments — at times bursting with movement, at times drawing you into hushed stillness, shifting coolly and dopely through all kinds of scenery. "Feel So Good?" (see the video), which also appeared on the label's previous compilation EMERGENCE XX, sounds so good too — a magical 13-track album. Highly recommended!
