A 2016 work by IAN WILLIAM CRAIG, imbued with a fleeting beauty and fragility. Essential listening for fans of LEYLAND KIRBY, TIM HECKER and the like.
IAN WILLIAM CRAIG has released on 130701, the FATCAT imprint home to the likes of the late JÓHANN JÓHANNSSON and HAUSCHKA, and recently saw his acclaimed 2014 album "A Turn Of Breath" reissued. This one comes courtesy of Belgium's AGUIRRE, built from recordings of improvised piano and feedback loops that were then edited and degraded. Noise crashes violently against the beautiful piano lines, drawing out a fragile, ephemeral beauty.
