A 1973 album by GAL COSTA, who—alongside Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Tom Ze and Maria Bethania—played a vital role in the Tropicalismo movement both musically and as an activist. It features the rock-solid bassist Luiz Alves, who laid down the groove on albums by Milton Nascimento and Arthur Verocai, the rock-steady groove of drummer Roberto Silva, Gilberto Gil on 12-string guitar and direction, plus Arthur Verocai directing two tracks, along with a luxurious cast including Toninho Horta, Roberto Menescal and Tenorio Junior. MR BONGO's work reproduces the original gatefold sleeve and the remastered sound is superb. We were amazed at just how great the mix work is!
