Formed in the early '80s around musician DEJAN KOSTIĆ, who had been studying sound production in New York, together with members of the avant-rock group KATARINA II and its predecessor GRUPA I, Serbian cult band DU-DU-A soaked up a motley range of styles including reggae, ska and rap, giving direct expression to the influence of New York no wave — and now their recordings from 1984 to 1989 are compiled and reissued! The A-side gathers work by frontman DEJAN KOSTIĆ, a.k.a. DU-DU VANILLA, from the period when various musicians took part, including female vocalist JELENA RAČIĆ and THE NEW AGE BAND saxophonist ALEKSANDAR JAĆIMOVIĆ, while the B-side features material produced by DU-DU VOODOO, a.k.a. keyboardist ZORAN ZAGORČIĆ, who played in numerous bands and was said to be the first person in Yugoslavia to play a Moog — five tracks picked for each side.
