Entering here is SØS GUNVER RYBERG, who last year released her first album on AVIAN, the label run by SHIFTED, the charismatic figure of the UK experimental/hard techno scene. "In The Core" (sample1) pits an uneasy, floating synth with a heavily hardware-driven character against an irregular rhythmic frame. Then there's "FLUX" (sample2), driven by tough drums that verge on percussive impacts. Beyond these two techno tracks, the electronics/drone material is thoroughly cinematic.
