Selected from 78rpm sources left behind during a turbulent era of repeated French colonial rule and Japanese invasion. Colonization brought an influx of popular music — jazz, chanson, tango, Latin, Hawaiian — and this is a collection of modern songs where all of it blends with Vietnamese traditional balladry. Just as the title promises, a dreamlike, nostalgic Vietnam. It simply never got a vinyl release, so it went unnoticed, but great work from the esteemed BUDA MUSIQUE.
