From 〈DIALOGO〉, the label that has been reissuing PIERO UMILIANI's astonishing recordings, comes an analog LP reissue of "Polinesia" (1975), a Martin Denny-style Polynesian exotic imaginary musical travelogue. A wonderful record.

Italian composer PIERO UMILIANI is one of the most essential figures for anyone whose musical adventures range across library music, soundtrack digging and beyond. It's a wonder these first-class works went unreissued for so long, but now they're arriving on vinyl one after another. This one, from 1975, was built around the theme of an invitation to the islands of Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora and more), weaving in percussion, synthesizers and chorus for a Martin Denny-esque Polynesian exotic, imaginary and elegant delight. Its contemporary percussion-minimal soundworld is thrilling too. A supreme relaxing sound trip that carries you somewhere far away, beyond magical exotic islands. A masterpiece. Be sure to check the tracklist as well. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)
