Led by "Hidaka," a mysterious dance cut built on tribal composite rhythms, the record also features remixes by YUE from Oita — connected to YET and Mikage's releases on Altzmusica as well as Jinzoku Record, with ties to the Kansai scene too — and by Plasticmai, active in Tokyo's more idiosyncratic circles. The original is magical, with interlacing grooves and a wonderful arc, and both remixes deliver: YUE does exactly what you'd hope, while Plasticmai offers a fresh, original step oozing with personal detail and atmosphere. All of it is great! A superb domestic Japanese release, and highly recommended. The vinyl comes with a download code, and we've also started carrying the digital download.
