  • Cat No: Kompakt 469

Format

12inch 2290 JPY

A superb remix 12-inch (45 RPM) has arrived, featuring a track by Andreas Dorau — the legendary star vocalist from Düsseldorf, Germany, active since the early 1980s and known for his goofy, heart-fluttering, mischievously blippy technopop — remixed by Wolfgang Voigt under his WASSERMANN alias, himself a legend, one of the founders of the Kompakt label, a pioneer of Cologne techno who has crafted countless classics under a host of aliases! Limited to 500 copies! And it comes hand-numbered with autographs from both artists.

Four tracks in all, including nice remixes bursting with the signature Wolfgang Voigt (WASSERMANN) style that only KOMPAKT could deliver: A1 "UNSICHTBARE TANZER / WASSERMANN - TUBASS MIX" (sample 1), a hypnotic, minimal tech-house remix around 122 BPM with a curiously tense, spacious feel; A2 "UNSICHTBARE TANZER / WASSERMANN - SOG MIX" (sample 2), around 123 BPM, where an experimental, academic minimalist, almost ondo-like electronic groove floats along dubby and unhurried at just the right temperature; B1 "UNSICHTBARE TANZER / ORIGINAL MIX", the cute electropop original version; and B2 "UNSICHTBARE TANZER / WASSERMANN - RAUSCH MIX" (sample 3), a trancey, meditative tech-house remix around 122 BPM that should work best as dance floor material.
