COMPUMA's first solo work of 2015 — a CD created together with guitarist Ken Takehisa (KIRIHITO/GROUP), completed using guitar performances and field recordings made at a tea plantation in Kyoto, and produced to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Ujikoen, a long-established Kyoto tea wholesaler — now gets its first ever vinyl release! After a wide range of musical activity centered on ADS, Smurf Otokogumi and DJing, COMPUMA arrives at a dazzling, ever-expanding new sonic landscape. Remastered by Soichiro Nakamura, with newly drawn artwork by painter Tomoo Gokita and a fresh redesign by Hijiri Suzuki, this edition has been completely revamped in artwork and design, breathing new life into the music as a brand new vinyl release.

2015年、COMPUMAが、KIRIHITO、GROUP等の活動で知られるギタリスト盟友 竹久圏と共に、京都の老舗茶問屋 宇治香園の創業150年を記念して制作した音楽作品が初アナログLP化！京都府南部の山間の茶園でのフィールド・レコーディングやギター演奏を中心に、エレクトロニクス、加工編集ミックスを施して完成させた、イマジナリーでランドスケープな、茶と茶園達に捧げられた音のドラマ。アートワークは、近年、国際的な評価も高まっている画家・五木田智央による書き下ろしと、写真家・塩田正幸の撮り下ろし、鈴木聖のデザインによるもので、今作は、「茶」と「光」と「音」の出会いの記録ともなっている。また今回のアナログ化に伴い、中村宗一郎によるリマスタリング、そして、アートワークとデザインを一新してのリリースとなる。
A project between COMPUMA and Ken Takehisa that grew out of an encounter with Ujikoen, a long-established Kyoto tea wholesaler. Spun off from COMPUMA's "SOMETHING IN THE AIR" mix CD series, this is his first original work. Takehisa's technical mastery on guitar brings a stillness and an unwavering resonance. Field recordings capture the beauty of sound within nature, while sonic textures and atmosphere are reassembled through electronics and acoustic/musique concrète-style processing — a fascinating attempt to build new dimensions and perspectives into a world of sound. COMPUMA's characteristic uniqueness and sincerity coexist here beautifully. (Original Japanese text by Saito)
