“Goodnight Rico” is a track in which the Soothsayers Horns poured their cherished memories of performing on stage with Rico Rodriguez—featuring Harry Brown’s superb solo trumpet, Idris Rahman’s tenor saxophone, Robin Hopcraft’s three-trumpet arrangement—a heartfelt, authentic one-drop bounce harmony. It’s steeped in bittersweet nostalgia. Manasseh’s B-side dub also drifts through an urban tripping spacewalk. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)
