Official limited reissue on 180g heavyweight vinyl LP of "Horses And Trees," the 1986 masterpiece solo album by Ginger Baker, CREAM member and one of rock's earliest legendary super-drummers. Released on Celluloid, the label that was on a roll at the time, putting out one cutting-edge Bill Laswell-produced work after another. Start with B2 "Mountain Time" (sample1), an Afro-funk cut built on a John Bonham-style drum solo and percussion.

The Celluloid all-stars of the era are all present: Bill Laswell's circle including P-Funk synthesizer legend Bernie Worrell, D.ST (the scratch DJ from Herbie Hancock's "Rockit"), guitarists Nicky Skopelitis and Robert Musso, plus West African griot and Mandinka musician Foday Musa Suso, master Senegalese drummer/percussionist Aiyb Dieng, alternative Latin jazz percussion ace Daniel Ponce, Brazil's premier percussionist and berimbau master Nana Vasconcelos, and even virtuoso Indian violinist Shankar. Still, the star of the show is Ginger Baker, whose drumming is ferociously cool in true Bonham fashion. An ambitious record exploring jazz, fusion, African rhythms and world music in a solid, wholly original instrumental blues vein, and a crossover Afro jazz-funk-rock masterpiece in the Celluloid manner of the day. Remastered by Nick Robbins. 180g heavyweight vinyl. Faithful reproduction of the original LP sleeve. Includes an inner sleeve printed with photos of Ginger Baker. 6 tracks total.
