Inspired by '90s machine house. A lengthy leftfield acid house cut with a unique phasing technique in which the synthesizer lines gradually drift out of sync! Barcelona machine maniac CYRIL THE GREAT, whose first outing paying homage to '80s and '90s video game music was equally distinctive, returns with a new release — vinyl only!
With the Japanese word for the elementary particle group "quark" printed on the label, the theme of this record is quantum mechanics! The A-side is "Superposition" (sample1), where multiple layers of acid bass, synthesizers and drum machines drift out of phase over ten minutes. The B-side takes a different approach with the 12-minute "Chromodynamics" (sample2), letting acid swim through a sci-fi subspace where synthesizers echo — equally hypnotic. Truly one of a kind.
