The long-awaited new 7-inch single from James Alexander Bright, one half of Bright & Findlay, known for "Everything Is Slow," the classic slow-mo Balearic outsider soul album on Athens Of The North that earned high praise from Gilles Peterson!!! Side A is "Straight Line" (sample 1), a romantic, daydreaming Balearic cosmic boogie with a precarious falsetto and a blue-eyed soulful, folky singer-songwriter voice that will draw you right in — and then the B-side is seriously dangerous and utterly brilliant!! "Oh My" (sample 2) rides a racing LinnDrum groove with electric piano, synthesizers and falsetto choruses, an outsider cosmic leftfield machine funk that sounds like Theo Parrish producing Arthur Russell — deeply cool stuff.
