Hope Is The Sister Of Despair
Libreville Records - Cat No: LVLP-2006
- updated:2024-07-08
Arpeggios and chord progressions woven into beautiful sequences. Niko Tzoukmanis is a German electronic musician with a Ph.D. in mathematics, specializing in functional analysis and the calculus of variations. This masterpiece—originally released on vinyl in 2021 by the French label Libreville Records—has been reissued with two additional tracks from the 2013 limited-edition CD *Hope Is The Sister Of Despair*, originally released on his own label! Highly recommended.
Track List

A gem released in 2013 on the independent label *Flambient*—at the time, under the alias Microphase. A vision of melodic and moving ambient music inspired by Detroit techno and ’90s UK electronica. The sound—rich and cool, evoking those unique synths from the late ’80s to the ’90s—is simply superb. This is an album we hope will reach a wide range of listeners and scenes—not only as beatless ambient techno, but also across genres from New Age to deep house, and even as sleep music. It’s also highly recommended for use as an intro to mixes or sets. (Original Japanese text by AYAM)
