Megira's guitar careens around the fringes of surf rock like a sleepwalker with a rush of momentum, exuding a nightmarish yet sweet mood through generous reverb and echo, tearing through time and space with noise. Eventually the surf collapses, swallowed by madness, and the teenage years come to an end. He was said to be deeply influenced by Dick Dale and David Lynch (RIP), and indeed his sensibility—sublimating popular, nostalgic material into something wholly original through sheer force of authorship—is Lynchian to the core.
