A tribute to EDO 8, a DJ/producer who left his mark on the Dutch electro scene and released on core imprints like CLONE and MARGUERIT. The pick here is of course the lead title track "Introduction To The New Label" (sample1), a strange downtempo breaks piece with guitar riffs slipped beneath processed, gravelly vocals. Add the rave breaks of "Juanita Recordings (Anthem)" (sample2) with its standout complex rhythm programming, and it's nothing but twisted electro throughout. Don't miss this one.
