RAIN TEXT hadn't produced anything as a duo since releasing an EP on BASTAKIYA TAPES, the sister label of BEDOUIN, back in 2018. Member GIOVANNI CIVITENGA works as an NTS resident, while GIUSEPPE IELASI is active not only solo but as one half of BELLOWS, both appearing on numerous respected labels — and now the two reunite at last. Here they explore electronic sound with shifting weather and atmospheric pressure as their theme: abstract techno and electronic music built on dynamics of deep bass, odd time signatures and noise. Dark in tone throughout, yet with romantic floating chords slipped in, keeping dissonance and release perfectly in check. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
