Brazilian Afro-Bossa A cover of the Average White Band’s classic song by Wilson Das Neves, a percussionist and member of the samba group Os Ipanemas. It’s a funky arrangement of “Pick Up The Pieces” (sample_1) that makes heavy use of percussion and horns, The halting guitar phrase is charming... It’s included on the album *O Som Quente E O Das Neves* (’76), released by his own group, Wilson Das Neves E Seu Conjunto. On the B-side is “Tanga” (sample_2), a funk number highly popular within the Mr. Bongo camp, selected from the album *Um É Poucho, Dois É Bom, Este Som Três É Demais*, released in 1970 by *Odeon*, featuring the funk track “Tanga” (sample_2), a favorite among the Mr. Bongo crowd.
