From the acclaimed UK label ODION LIVINGSTONE — the outfit behind the reissue of Livy Ekemezie's "Friday Night," the pinnacle of ultra-rare Nigerian disco boogie, and a steady stream of hidden African treasures — comes a welcome repress after several years of this superb compilation 2LP, brilliantly assembled from the precious archives of DUOMO SOUNDS, the obscure Lagos label that turned out great Afro-funk and disco in the early 1980s. Now in stock.

ODION LIVINGSTONE — the celebrated Afro-treasure excavation label formed by the tight partnership of Mr Odion Iruoje, the legendary producer at EMI Nigeria who introduced the world to a wealth of African music from Fela Kuti's Koola Lobitos and Africa 70 to King Sunny Ade, and African vintage music collector Temitope Kogbe — first released this in 2017: a compilation 2LP carefully curated from 11 tracks by 11 artists of Afro-funk, disco and reggae treasures from DUOMO SOUNDS, the cult Lagos label founded by Humphrey Aniakor to create a new African sound for a new generation. Now finally given a welcome limited repress after several years. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)
