With its tropical rhythms, lavish horns and Sonia Santos' soaring vocals, "Poema Ritmico Do Malandro" was released as a 7-inch on Copacabana in 1971 and never included on an album — a cult classic. Original copies are super rare, changing hands for as much as £100. The B-side features "Cala Boca Menino" from Joao Donato's equally hard-to-find album Cala Boca Menino (1973), a delight of quirky percussion, keyboards and hypnotic vocals.
