Oliver Ho, aka Broken English Club, is a veteran with a deep understanding of club music and a free-spirited, passionate approach to the art — he heads three labels each with its own distinct concept, and has staged his own experimental performances using six turntables. Highlights include "Death Cult" (Sample 1), an energetic, spiritually charged slice of minimal techno; "Vessel of Skin" (Sample 2), where avant-garde, noisy vocal samples and his signature dubwise sound design open up an inventive space; and "Ghost" (Sample 3), abstract techno in which fantastical, spontaneously occurring sounds echo through the ruins as if sparking fresh inspiration.
