SONIC aka NAT 000’s debut vinyl, *Time Samples*, has been released as the second release on the Koenji KNOCK label *mykesrhiza*. It features a modestly psychedelic sound with rhythms that slowly emerge. Organic yet geometric electronic ambient music that feels like it’s carefully unearthing the subtle topography of your inner self. All eight tracks offer a wonderful experience, whether you focus on the details or take a step back to view the whole. Mastering was handled by Katsuo Kumano of Phonon, one of Japan’s leading audio manufacturers. Highly effective for both listening and the dance floor. Better late than never—I’d like to introduce this to you. Highly recommended!

"After performing solo drone music under the name 'sonic,' primarily at venues such as 20000v in Koenji and DOM in Nishi-Shinjuku (now EARTHDOM in Shin-Okubo), I became a member of BUTTHEAD SUNGLASS and ABRAHAM CROSS, hardcore bands that gained popularity in Tokyo’s underground scene in the 2000s. I performed at venues such as parks, abandoned buildings, and campgrounds, including appearances at the legendary “RAW LIFE” event. After returning to a solo career, he has been producing electronic music and performing live shows using analog synths, samplers, drum machines, software, and effects pedals, while privately releasing self-produced CDs. This album compiles tracks from those self-released CDs along with newly produced songs. (From the label information)
