A modern evolution of psychedelic folk. An experimental electroacoustic work in which homemade Vietnamese zithers and flutes, analog synths, and speech samples melt together like an amoeba! The debut album by ARBORE — a unit formed by instrument builder and field-recording researcher DIANE BARBÉ and improvising multi-instrumentalist LAURE BOER — arrives on cassette.
Track List

DIANE BARBÉ (FORMS OF MINUTIAE), the musician who made her name with 'Musiques Tourbes,' an album depicting an imaginary wetland recorded at the INA-GRM studios, teams up with the singular multi-instrumentalist LAURE BOER, who has also worked with the likes of MULTIKULTI PROJECT! Highlights include "Chemin de montagne" (sample1), where heavy sub-bass lends tension to a pastoral exchange between ritual gongs and flute; "Pas une trompette" (sample2), in which sermon samples cut roughly between gong drones and jaw harp; and "La main sur la corde," where a leisurely plucked homemade zither is fused with electronics. A spiritual soundscape with clearly stated psychedelic intent. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
