Originally released in 1985 in a run of just 100 copies by an underground band from Okayama. This enigmatic, obscure Japanese dub treasure was sold only at a local festival on Mt. Kyogamaru, and needless to say it has never once surfaced on Discogs — a reissue that can only be called a miracle. Whether it's the timbre of the vocals or the slow, mellow sound, this is dub that dissolves your thoughts. Incredible.

An almost scandalously great reissue job from MUSIC THAT SHAPES, operating out of the deepest reaches of Bratislava, the Slovak capital. A literally phantom record, self-released by Para, a dub band active in Ibara City, Okayama in the '80s. Slow-motion reggae vibes gently trailing the rounded singing of vocalist Sunobu Yozan. Forty minutes of minimal, unhurried music that, with every vivid stab of saxophone, seems to pull you into a fifth-dimensional world. Impossible to file away simply as a product of the '80s DIY movement centered on post-punk and the avant-garde — there's a personal warmth here that soaks all the way into the lyrics.
