This is a welcome album from CENTRAL, who—in addition to his work as REGELBAU—continues to lead the scene by running labels like 〈HELP〉, and has recently been increasingly active under aliases such as PICTURE. “Plak” (sample 1) is a powerful, heavyweight tribal techno track that takes up the entire B-side. From the house bomb “Plura” (sample 2), where strings burst forth freely from a comical synth loop, to “Romantic” (sample 3) with its tricky rhythmic development utilizing triplets, the album features a variety of approaches clearly designed for the dance floor—and the 2x12-inch format is a welcome bonus.
