Originally released as a physical-only item in February 2016 as the momentous first release on Revanche, a label newly created within Kompakt as a mail-order-exclusive imprint, this 12" of acclaimed remixes by Jens-Uwe Beyer himself and Wolfgang Voigt — drawn from the wonderful ambient album "The Emissary" by Pop Ambient master Jens-Uwe Beyer — finally gets a limited repress after 10 years!!!

Jens-Uwe Beyer's own new remix, B1 "Moonshine Tangerine - Jens Uwe Beyer / Revanche" (sample1), is superb: BPM 127, a splendid 4/4 cut brimming with electronic-tech flowing elegance and stoic rapture while still carrying that gorgeous Kompakt sense of experimentation. Then there's the masterful work of Wolfgang Voigt, one of Kompakt's founders and a pioneer who revolutionized experimental techno through electronic music under countless aliases including STUDIO 1, MIKE INK and GAS, carving out the German techno scene — his commanding sound-sculpture remix B1 "St. Pop - Wolfgang Voigt / Revanche" (sample2) sits at BPM 119. And Jens-Uwe Beyer's own beatless shoegaze-ambient-electronica remix at around BPM 120, B2 "The Life Of - Jens Uwe Beyer / Revanche" (sample3), is equally dreamlike.
