S.O.N.S REMIX! ZULU MATRIX’s “Hyperspace”—a Canadian trance anthem released in 1994 and long out of print—is finally getting its first reissue. With metallic-sounding drum percussion and psychedelic acid lines, this is an energetic, hypnotic masterpiece. This reissue was made possible with the cooperation of TOM GERENCSER, his partner in the project. Available exclusively on vinyl. Don’t miss it.

A rare gem of ’90s Canadian cyber-trance, created by ZULU MATRIX—a one-off collaborative project by TOM GERENCSER and MASSIMO ROSATI, both of whom have also made their mark as engineers—is finally being reissued... The popular original mix “Hyperspace (Supernova Mix)” (sample 1), clocking in at over 11 minutes, features sci-fi synthscapes, acid lines, and a dynamic, driving synth bass that propels you toward a state of awakening. The remix, helmed by S.O.N.S—who has been making waves in the Korean underground scene in recent years through his label *JUNCTION FOREST*—showcases a modern take on trance with its floating ambience and tense vocal refrains. Additionally, the release includes a self-remix by TOM GERENCSER, which unfolds a deeply spacey, swirling retrofuturism. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
