The album *Dialoghi Del Presente*, left behind in 1977, is now being reissued by *Superior Viaduct*—for the first time—as a remastered version from the original master tapes. A classic album considered one of the most beautiful works left behind by 1970s Italian avant-garde music, which has also been reissued by labels such as 〈Die Schachtel〉. Centered around the guitar of Chilio—who was active in the local underground scene and was also said to be an exceptional guitarist—this is an exquisitely delicate chamber music ensemble, with string instruments, woodwinds, guitars, vocals, piano, and percussion seemingly orchestrated by a “theory of dreams.” Comprising four “Quadro” (scenes) and interludes, it paints a uniquely ephemeral universe—lasting less than 30 minutes—that feels like a dialogue with the self. As Jim O’Rourke, who counts this among his favorites, has noted, it is a masterpiece for those seeking works that “seem to have been created solely for the artist’s own sake.” (Original Japanese text by Adachi)
