Five tracks built on machine beats as tenacious and tough as the title suggests — taken from the Western proverb that a cat has nine lives — with lo-fi textures and cracked acid lines. Rough, addictive machine grooves that sound like a rack of exposed-wiring hardware running wild. Of the nine tracks in the full set, this 12-inch collects the first five, two of them vinyl-only.
