On this album, he works mostly alone, using saxophone, synths, his own voice, guitar, and a drum machine to fuse acoustic, processed, and electronic sounds. The album also features Moses Boyd, a Mercury Prize-nominated drummer and one of the most important jazz drummers in the UK. The track is driven by horns used as looping material, distorted beats, and dubwise basslines, with an emphasis on repetition and mood-building, and the horn phrases intertwine with each other in a leisurely fashion.
