Assembled from material recorded on cassettes and obsolete gear over 15 years ago, mixed together with more recent recordings, it's a blend of irregular percussive thuds, woozy noise, tape decay and distortion — exposing the passage of time and the physical wear of sound itself as music. Raw, bare-boned sonic textures. João Hã himself calls it an "accidental Frankenstein": deviant music born of chance and drift. The moaning vocals(?) and whistling are oddly heartwarming, too. The lo-fi cover of The Kingsmen's garage rock classic "Louie Louie" (sample3), tacked on like a bonus, is a treat as well. (Original Japanese text by Adachi)
