A 2LP set that gently carries the body along—recommended for both the dance floor and listening at home.
Track List

DJ and producer Guy Blanken, who had been active as Talismann—a harder-edged techno project—has made a comeback under the name Makam. This collection features warm, texturally rich grooves that have expanded from an immersive floor experience into a diverse range of soundscapes. Tracks like “La Tuna” and “Flying Birds,” which showcase the vibrant energy of disco; “Dub In Loen,” shrouded in a haze of dub techno; the Balearic-inspired, ethereal “Lummel Spirit,” the heavy stepper “Diagonal Rain,” and “Jackie B,” which exudes a passion for deep house—this album is permeated by a deepened sense of dub infused with an exotic mood. With genre boundaries growing even more blurred, these 11 mesmerizing tracks maintain their core while constantly shifting off-center. Check out the tracklist to get a taste.
